Cre8’s Latest Works Exhibited in Thailand

We are excited and honored to announce our art exhibition now open to the public at the Thaillywood Contemporary Artist Residency in Thailand. Our very first in Asia, the exhibition showcases nearly all of the children’s artwork we’ve received in recent years and creatively combines each individual work into collective international art pieces that bring together different perspectives from around the world.

The first of three exhibits is a short film about our Drawing Animation Sound project, or “DAS” for short. Over the past year, DAS has connected kids from Thailand, Colombia, and the United States to work together to create one animated film. As we eagerly await completion of the animation itself, this 10-minute documentary reveals the fun, collaboration, and hard work that have gone into (and continues to go into) this one-of-a-kind animated film. In addition to the video installation, on display are photographs taken by kids from Nigeria, China, Spain, Thailand and the United States through our Photo Rally photography workshops. And if drawing is more your thing, be sure to visit our wall of aliens: over 300 out-of-this-world drawings from four continents, received through our Most Realistic Alien drawing workshop and competition.

“Each of these three international art pieces goes a long way in revealing why we do what we do here at Cre8,” said Cre8 founder and professional artist, Ole Ukena. “Each international piece could only be created through the combined creativity and collaboration of children and artists from all over the world. Together this art represents the limitless potential of humanity to create and collaborate together.”

The exhibition will now serve as an exciting workspace to host our very first art workshops with local Thai students through our Thaillykids art workshop program. We hope the international artwork inspires the kids as much as it inspires us!

Special thanks go to all the volunteers and children who participated in the creation of the exhibited works.  We are continuously amazed by your creativity, dedication, and hard work. Cre8 simply wouldn’t be what it is today without each and every one of you. Thank you!  The exhibition will be open to the public beginning May 27th through June 30th.
